💙 About FastAid

At FastAid, we’re more than just an organisation – we’re a lifeline in times of crisis.

Founded in 2005, FastAid began with a simple goal: to help people when they need it most. Today, we’re proud to be a vital part of the emergency response network across Solihull & Birmingham.

🚑 Our Mission

We provide immediate medical care during critical moments, working closely with the West Midlands Ambulance Service to protect the health and safety of our communities.

👥 Our Team

FastAid is powered by over 70 dedicated volunteers from all walks of life. Many of our team members are highly trained, and our training group includes paramedics and nurses who support ongoing professional development (CPD).

On average, each volunteer gives around 20 hours a month to serve their local community.

🎓 Training & Qualifications

In partnership with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, our volunteers complete a Level 3 qualification in emergency care. This training gives them the skills and confidence to respond to life-threatening situations with care and professionalism.

❤️ Making a Difference

From attending cardiac arrests to providing essential first Aid, our volunteers have been instrumental in countless life-saving interventions. Their quick actions and the use of defibrillators have given many individuals a second chance at life.

💷 How We’re Funded

FastAid is run entirely by volunteers and we rely on the generosity of the public to keep going. Your donations help us fuel our vehicles, maintain lifesaving equipment, and stay ready to respond when every second counts.

Every pound truly makes a difference.

🙌 Get Involved

There are many ways you can support FastAid – and every one of them helps save lives.

Whether you become a Community First Responder, make a donation, or simply help spread the word.

Your support makes a real difference.

🤝 Friends of FastAid

Not everyone needs to be on the front line to make an impact. Our Friends of FastAid are a vital part of our team. They help out at local events and fundraisers, support with grant applications, and lend a hand behind the scenes.

If you’ve got time, skills, or just a passion for helping others, we’d love to have you on board.

🏆 Award Winners

In 2016, FastAid Birmingham and Solihull was proud to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service– the highest honour given to volunteer groups in the UK, often described as the MBE for voluntary organisations.

This prestigious award, personally approved by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, recognised the outstanding impact our volunteers have made in the community. It stands as a lasting tribute to the dedication, compassion, and lifesaving work of our team.

The legacy of this award continues to inspire us, reminding us of the vital role that volunteer responders play in protecting lives every day.
